CALL TO ARTISTS

We are now accepting applications and creative proposals for the 2009 Junction Arts Festival.

This year the Junction Arts Festival is once again going to be a free 1km long street event brimming with both live and visual art. From Quebec Avenue to Keele Street the festival will host the best of Toronto, National and International artists on the street, in the galleries and in the shops and restaurants. As the public walks from one end to the other, day or night, they will treated to a carnival of creativity where they can discover street performers, painters, sculptures, photographers live music and more. Children will be able to participate in a number of creative activities, environmentalists will share their wares in the Green Village and live music will be throughout in Restaurants, alternative spaces and in the Junction City Square.

We invite you to come and share your creative spirit, your daring, your work and your life as an artist September 9th to 13th, 2009 with the Dundas West Street closure September 12th and 13th. If you have any special projects that you would like to discuss prior to applying please contact Creative Producer, Michael Menegon.

We are now accepting applications for the Juried Art Exhibit, Kidzone, Writers and Readers series, and for Street Performers, Musicians, and Installation Artists. To submit an application you will have to register an account and complete our online application process. We are also now accepting applications for Artist, Green Village, Food and Commerical Vendors during the two day street closure on September 12th and 13th.
